Eno River State Park is a 30 minute drive from the Research Triangle Park in central North Carolina. The Eno River is a little over 30 miles long, with headwaters just west of Hillsborough and terminating in the Neuse River (now Falls Lake), northeast of Durham. Currently an environmental preserve, the Eno was actively used in colonial times to power grist mills. It had the honor of being used for an early paper mill as well.
